About Us
The Hardin County Home Educators is a Christian group that offers support and encouragement to home school families in Hardin County and the surrounding areas by providing educational opportunities, fellowship, and socialization. Education classes are available for grades K-12. Our classes are grouped into the following divisions: K-3rd, 4th-8th, & 9th-12th. There is also a nursery available for parents to take infants and toddlers.
We usually meet twice a month for 2-1/4 hours from September-November and again in January-April. Our membership fee is $80 per family with an additional $70 fee for ed class participation for a total of $150. There may be additional fees for field trips or ed class supplies. Most supplies can be brought from home for the classes.
We offer classes on a variety of topics, especially ones that are hard to do at home like drama, P.E., and music.
Young Adult activities are scheduled throughout the year for our high school students. This gives them the chance to develop deeper friendships while having fun together.
We also offer basketball for the following grade divisions: 2nd-5th, 6th-8th, & 9th-12th. Volleyball is available for the same groups as basketball.
